Dungeon editor
I started coding the dungeon editor today, because unlike Django said, not all of the dungeons will be random generated. Unfortunately my data hard disk decided to trash its master file table not long after I started. Recovery took a while but no code was lost.

Game description
1are2 is a top-down action adventure that can be compared to the older instalments of the critically acclaimed Legend of Zelda franchise. Gameplay involves fighting, exploration and puzzle solving. Although the core gameplay doesn’t differ much from the existing Zelda instalments, 1are2 can be considered to be more then just a clone due to it’s unique features.
The most important and noticeable feature is the ability to split the main character up into 2 smaller characters (explanatory images will be added later) which introduces tactics to fighting and adds an extra level of depth to puzzle solving.
All of the dungeons are random generated.

What's this blog about?
This blog is follows the development of the upcoming game 1are2 (working title) which is a collaboration between myself (Django den Boer), Thijs Verburg and Mark Veldhuis.
In the daytime, the three of us are colleagues at a company called E-Semble, a software development company that is specialised in simulation software and serious gaming for the education, training and assessment of incident response and safety professionals, such as police, fire and medical services.
Since spending or daytime together wasn't enough for us we decided to spend some free together to do what we love the most, which is making (and playing) games. The result is a ambitious game that can be compared to a classic Zelda game (more information will follow).
The purpose of the blog is to archive and communicate the design en development progression during this project.
Note: This project isn't related to our work at E-Semble en does not represent any of E-Semble's software/products.

What's in the name?
Hi guys,
it took me quite a while, but the blog is finally online. Sorry for the delay.
Unfortunately al names related to "project2" where already taken, so I finally decided (in consultation with Mark) to stick with this name.
I also shared a google document (which is empty at the moment) that is going to faction as our Bible*
That's all for today. I plan update the documentation tomorrow.
Enjoy,
